You may have noticed that skinny jeans are not what they used to be. While I’m not saying you should get rid of your trusty skinnies completely, you many want to give one of these five new denim trends a try.
The seventies flare is back in a big way. To get the full Karlie Kloss effect, pair yours with sky-high platforms.

Old school Levi’s were a huge trend at fashion week. A cool-girl favorite, these give off an effortless, classic vibe. And, speaking of, you may have heard that Levi’s recently launched their “wedgie fit” designed to look like the vintage styles and to do wonders for your butt. They have been selling out quickly but I managed to get my hands on a pair and they are amazing. They also came out with a shorts version which are great too. Mine will be staples in my summer wardrobe.

I’ve talked about my love for culottes before here, and my feelings for the denim version are no different. I love the silhouette and think they are perfect for causal days at the office.

The frayed hem is everywhere right now. I love it because as a short girl, I don’t need to get jeans hemmed any more, I can just cut off the bottoms, and there we have it, trendy frayed hem jeans. These also remind me of the *original* frayed hem jeans from Limited Too circa 4th grade, which were the absolute coolest (please tell me someone else remembers these). I splurged on the 3×1 with the fringe on the hem, which I admit is a little ridiculous. But, there are some tutorials out there to DIY this look here and here.

To me, the cropped flares or kick flares as some people call them are the epitome of a cool, yet put together look. In the photo above Alexa Chung nailed it, pairing them with a blazer and chic flats. This is a style that can be totally appropriate for a causal office setting.
