You’ve heard me rant on here before about the lack of stylish yet appropriate clothing for young professional women. Most of the time, getting dressed to go to work in the morning is a buzz kill for my inner fashionista, and the thought of putting on a pencil skirt again makes me want to crawl back into bed. Luckily for us office-going types, a few of the big trends right now are totally office appropriate. First, culottes. If you haven’t hopped on the bandwagon yet, I suggest you do. The silhouette is flattering and comfortable, and automatically ups the “stylish” factor of your work outfit. Next, mid-block heels. They are everywhere right now. And while I used to love my sky-high heels, as I’ve gotten older I’ve started to care more about comfort. The best part about these is that they look equally as cute with fray hemmed jeans on the weekend. Finally, dramatic sleeves have been all over the runways lately, and this is a trend you can easily bring in to your work wardrobe. You don’t need to go overboard. Even a little sleeve detail, like the ties on the blouse above, can make a difference. Are there any other trends you will be incorporating into your work wardrobe this Spring?
